probably closer to that 33% theoretical difference I mention in the video.for even light video editing... not sure if 8GB and 128GB is enough. Do these features it outweigh all the massive problems? Screen Protector is recommended + pen + keyboard.

I am going to be using it mostly at home so the case would be to protect it while at home, nothing bulky or rugged is needed.

For everyday use, this thing is packed to the gills with potential.

I've been looking for a good one for my new Pro 7 and the one you describe sounds perfect. If you are looking to get a micro SD with it, I would pull the trigger on the Samsung EVO's on sale right now. Surface Pro 7 with Type Cover ($599 at Best Buy) Premium 2-in-1 PC.
I used up all my last year Xmas bonus for all these during black Friday and possibly this CyberMonday.

It’s something you can just toss into your bag, but looks equally subtle on a desk or a shelf. If they add some protection I may look into those too.All recommendations are appreciated as this is my first Surface product.

And Christmas is around the corner 512GB microsd cards should be on sale for some pretty decent prices.Does anyone know which offers better battery life when doing average tasks like note taking and web browsing? It is likely the i5 will have better battery life; but if you are doing very idle tasks; and the fan never kicks off; battery life should be very similar. Its when you ramp up the power by doing intensive tasks that the battery would drain off quicker on the i7.I'd pretty much say that the i5 is going to last longer in almost every situation vs. the i7. I use mine as OneDrive 1TB drive :).

But it might not be as big a difference depending on what you are doing.

Great review. MS seems not to be focusing on it. Be sure to check that they are still in effect before making a purchase.

I got my SP7 i5 256gb 16gb the other day and it is simply perfect.I wish it had smaller bezels but honestly don't care given how perfectly refined it isNew comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be castA subreddit for the Microsoft Surface family of products. Most likely going with the i5, 8gb, 128gb ssd.

I'm guessing it will still be significant, but not as close to the ideals.I would also like to see how this compares with the USB fan running on the I5 to see how much it makes up for what it lost.I wish I could have justified the I7, but I only traded in my SP4, because I wanted to avoid it turning into a brick on me, since I could use the trade in program.

I've got: matte screen protector, keyboard cover, palm rest cover, matte black skin (cheap from Amazon, still very good fit and feel, comes with the keyboard cover), MX Master 3 mouse for home usage, fingerprint ID keyboard (I put my SP7 behind the screen but the keyboard is still being used, so I use the fingerprint to log in), and 1TB micro SD (this one was a gift), and of course a black Surface pen. I found one on amazon that also doubles as a privacy screen, which is nice to prevent the people around me from seeing what's on my screen.-Another debatable accessory is a skin. It was $200 more but I want this to last and enjoy it a bit. It also came with a year or customer support servicesPersonally, I went a little overboard with my SP7 (my most expensive investment yet - i7, 16GB).

Available in a new black color for the first time (or the regular silver), the Surface Pro 6 prices should start to waver with the release of the latest Pro 7 model. I'm using it for casual use; browsing, multimedia, and Microsoft Office. It’s super sleek and narrow, just like the other Microsoft Surface devices.

If you’re using it for more than 10 hours, not having to be near an outlet for that amount of time is hugely helpful.Versatile and great-looking, the Microsoft Surface Pro 7 has everything you need in an everyday laptop and tablet.
