On a US keyboard, this is reversed.

Perhaps it's just a key or two that no longer register. Hi- I have a new Chromebook 14 and after working well for a few weeks the apostrophe/quotation marks key is acting oddly: it will now only register if I press it twice. Go in to your keyboard settings as above and if you have the US keyboard switch to the UK one, and vice versa.
