For me, the hummingbird garden was the most incredible part. Although the road was definitely windy and bumpy towards the end, this should not discourage anyone from going. The lodge is located in the Cloud Forest, so as you would expect, it is quite wet. The Lodge is modern with incredible floor to ceiling windows throughout the resort allowing you to be a part of the forest wherever you are.

We were given a map, and Anderson explained all the activities but having a more detailed description of what to expect, walking or riding, length , etc,& being able to refer to it would have helped me. We managed to do a number of things in our short stay.
For specific inquiries, we recommend calling ahead to confirm. It’s not every day you can wake up in a Cloud Forest. I think there is one thing to note of importance, regardless of what activity you choose, there is some sort of walking involved.

I have only one suggestion that for me would have been helpful. The amenities were lovely and it is all the subtle touches that make the accommodation (and the rest of the property) amazing.
Food was good with lots of local specialties. Some of the walkways are narrow and you walk on crates that are buried in the mud. Yes, guests often enjoy the mountain view available here. Activities : There are lots of activities for you to choose from. I could have spent the entire day just watching wildlife at the nature center. It was a problem of miscommunication on our part that caused this impasse. The lodge provides boots, walking sticks and rain jackets.
Yes, it offers reduced mobility rooms. We were given 2 guides who stayed with us for all the activities-Anderson and Jackie. €

A side note : We would like to thank Marc, the General Manager for assisting us with leaving the property early in the morning due to lockdown and providing us with his personal driver (for safety reasons) to take us from the lodge at 3.00am to get Quito airport for our early flight out. The hikes were great. We chose to stay at the Swissotel Hotel the night before for our pick up, which was great.
