I think the problem was in this case steam overlay was enabled. Please post a solution to where the screenshot folder for Risk of Rain is. In the menu bar, click on "View" and select “Screenshots” from the drop-down menu. It created the Screenshots folder but there's nothing in there. If re-installing Destiny 2 doesn’t help then, you can try uninstalling Steam launcher and reinstalling it.
The screenshot key is f12 and I have steam overlay checked.
