Reports indicated Cano shot at a 22-year-old man walking along the road while driving a white truck.Investigators said the relationship between the two men, if any, was unclear.The man had multiple gunshot wounds to his leg and back, reportedly sustaining severe injuries, according to a press release from Alamogordo Police Department.The man was taken to a hospital in El Paso, Texas for further treatment and Alamogordo Police Chief Brian Peete confirmed the man was in stable condition when he was transported.The Alamogordo Police Detective Division identified the shooter with the assistance of witnesses and video surveillance, according to the press release.An arrest warrant was issued for Cano, who barricaded himself inside his residence at 2117 Pecan Drive. Peete said later that the shooting did not appear to be drug-related.No other injuries were reported and law enforcement do not yet have a motive for the shooting.
