If you really want to argue with GW you can use the "Salamanders are tanned but not black, White Scars not asian" argument. nurgle first. Psychic powers are dangerous. (hehehe) but i would think that the eldars still would work against the necrons even tho they were "asleep" doing stuff i dont know. Huh, that's a pretty self serving argument and not a logical fallacy at all. This increasing debauchery combined with their extremely powerful emotions and psychic presence is ultimately what led to the genesis of Slaaensh. Dark elves more nuanced and interesting than dark eldar 9.
Landmarks and geography with history and character all over the place. The Humans had almost killed themselves off with the Men of Iron at this time, and the Necrons had killed off the mightiest race in the galaxy, the Old Ones. Furthermore where are the Harlequins? the fantasy world was a world of the old ones (or maybe a race that preceeded the old ones) which had taken samples of various races, human, eldar, ork etc, from various times, to use as servants, slaves, administrators, warriors etc. You cant be 30,000+ years old with powers beyond comprehension without intervening at times - but does not want to show his hand and use his powers, or it was one of his sons who was sigmar, or even his 1st attempt at a Primarch/ Champion.
