This brings us to one of our core critiques of the premise: The culinary situation was absolutely insufficient considering that the restaurant was closed. Only after our third try we reached somebody who seemed to be the only employee present at the entire hotel at the time and was therefore unable to help us right away. Ingrid was the best therapist I ever had, she has golden hands touch and politeness. Our impression was underlined by the absence of staff on every night after returning from our dinner. It would be our pleasure to soon welcome you back to our hotel.

Warm regards, Sjoerd Brouwer Front Office ManagerOn arrival we got a very friendly and warm welcome..the staff were very good and efficient...due to the corona crisis it was rather empty..which was actually very nice...a place I would consider returning if only they would work on their food...breakfast was a far cry from a 5- star standard... serving pre- baked baguette is most certainly a no go...I do understand that under the corona situation they don’t have a buffet, but one can still offer good quality products...things were rather substandard...compare this property to their other one in Doha...well they most certainly need to pull up their socks and improve big time..

It's on the Mala Strana side of the river (opposite side from Old Town and Clock, etc., same side as the Castle), but it is close to the Charles bridge, so a short walk. Softer towels and Netflix as an option on the TV would have been nice (or cables to connect devices - but we didn't ask).
I knew Mandarin would be the right place and it truly exceed our expectations. Even though in-room breakfast on the following days was much better, we still could not believe that - without prior discussions - we would have only gotten dry toast and bakery with cold cuts and cheese far below five-star superior level as our breakfast! When going down to the gloomy breakfast room on our first day, we found the atmosphere unbearable.
