Service at check in from Sam (I think) was also very nice - he walked us around the property and to the room. Our last stay was somewhat ruined by two family’s and their three kids who took over the entire pool area and basically made sitting by the pool unenjoyable as well as unsafe. The issue I have is that they now allow children. I will be staying at Auberge or Calistoga Ranch which has an adults only pool.If you are looking for a Huge Room in California wine country, this is your place. Own or manage this property? Located in Sonoma Wine Country’s fabled Valley of the Moon, Kenwood Inn & Spa is a tranquil hideaway offering a one-of-a-kind retreat for discerning guests. Also, in the evening, the Inn has a variety of evening wines and ports that are complementary for the Inn's guests. The grounds are very pretty and the rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Had a nice visit to enjoy the wine country off season. It’s sad because this used to be one of my favorite getaways. Had great service from the wine pourer one night, but the cheese tray was gone.
Our room was great - in the back, so quiet, private, and large. We put a lot of miles on our rental car as we explored Sonoma, Napa, Russian River Valley, and the Armstrong Redwood Reserve. The wine tasting experience in the evening is uneven. Definitely a keeper in my book. The hotel itself is beautiful. This time it felt a little impersonal, which is disappointing for a small cozy hotel. This is such an ideal property to stay at because there aren't many units and all suites are accessed from the outside.
