This spectacular park contains a number of campsites, a ranger cabin, picnic shelter and toilets.
My husband and I went on this tour on April 1.
At the north end of Agamemnon Channel, to your right will be Egmont. The view on both Jervis Inlet and Princess Louisa Inlet was amazing - many waterfalls, calm waters, forested mountains and unforgiven cliffs. Brand New Tour From CA$ 125. To maintain the perpetual trust, the non-profit Princess Louisa International Society was formed.In 1965, the entire inlet was declared a recreation area by BC Parks.
For boaters there is a mooring buoy, stern pins, a boat dock and a dinghy dock. Both would be an incredible way to see the area. These are located just above the high tide line along the edge of the forest. Sunshine Coast Tours were terrific and our family highly recommends the boat trip, but keep in mind this is a 11 passenger boat and the wind can make parts of the ride a bit rough.I think it is a hidden jewel and must-do if your are in Sunshine Coast. On nearby MacDonald Island (closer to the entrance of Princess Louisa Inlet), there are four bare ground tent sites. Ouch – it must be a break-even day for him. For many people the highlight of an outing with Sunshine Coast Tours is the running commentary with experienced guide pointing out the features including the culture and history of the area. I envy the flight with your birds eye view!! Only two have picnic tables and there is only one pit toilet for all.Late Spring and Summer are the best times to visit Princess Louisa Inlet. The scenery is spectacular, the beauty of this place is breathtaking.

At the mooring dock, head up the ramp … And in order to keep the place in pristine condition, you are also asked to keep all sewage inside your holding tanks while inside the Inlet.It’s one of those places that leaves you in awe, but also kind of smug knowing that you have something this beautiful and accessible so close to home.
The area is truly the gem of BC’s Sunshine Coast.In 1927, James F. “Mac” MacDonald purchased 45 acres of land at the head of the inlet and built a log cabin. There are 4 bare ground tent sites with a picnic table at each.
Park ranger's office was closed in winter so I imagine in summer time there'd be some interpreter walks by the ranger there. Continuing your travel through Jervis Inlet you will pass by other beautiful areas with their own natural delights. This includes Prince of Whales Reach and Princess Royal Reach. The water isn’t potable, however, and must be boiled to consume. It started out as a cloudy day but by noon, the sun was out as we arrived in the inlet and motored up to the falls. It also has a ranger cabin (occupied late June – September), a few campsites, picnic shelter and pit-toilets.Other than the amazing scenery, one of the main draws to the area is the spectacular Chatterbox Falls.At the mooring dock, head up the ramp into the lush forest and follow the 800-meter boardwalk and trail to get closer to the roaring falls. There is so much to see. It'd be good to pack your lunch to go --- there are three picnic areas where you can sit, one of them is the covered James MacDonald memorial pavilion.Bryce was a very knowledgable and friendly tour guide. It takes about 4.5 hours. It is a great pitstop to refuel not only your boat but your body too . We had lunch there and encountered the forest ranger, who apparently lives at the park during the touring season.
That, too, would be the trip of a lifetime.
