He told me it was the middle of the night already and offered nothing. Since I purchased the cabins in 2012, I have done extensive work on all the cabins and the entire property in order to make a historic property seem as modern as possible, but still honoring its history. Room types may vary. The Butterfly Garden Inn was a fantastic place to stay. He was very surprised that we heard a person rather than an animal, but did have an employee who lived on the property come to the cabin. No tv, yes please! Front porch, chairs/benches, hammocks give you a chance to relax and listen to nature. Interior is missing some of the furniture seen in the photo and the work surface for the coffee maker and glassware consisted of a piece of butcher block on top of the mini fridge the rocks under the slightest pressure. Cabin 11 was updated not too long ago, and we were waiting for the photos to be completed so that we could update our site, which it currently is. No tv, yes please! There is nice kitchen, cooking and eating sets as well as a clean bathroom!

The cabins are only equipped with fans no air conditioning so expect warm days in the summer. Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory is located in a welcoming area of Cambridge that travelers like for its festivals and live music. Both police and the employee arrived at the same time. For nearly a century, guests have traveled far and wide to enjoy the natural beauty and quiet serenity of the canyon. Own or manage this property? We also heard soft banging noises against the outside wall of the cabin as if someone was trying to pry something along the cabin wall.

The employee said it was probably a previous guest who unscrewed it. (See year built). It did not smell dusty or anything like you might expect an old cabin to be.

Thanks so much! Did a little research when we returned home and found that as of May 2019 the property was listed for sale on at least one commercial website. We look forward to seeing you again some time soon.We just finished a two night stay at The Butterfly Garden Inn and were sad to see what seemed to be once a nice retreat showing signs neglect. I/We are dedicated to the complete satisfaction of every guest. Situated 10 miles north of Sedona in the heart of the Oak Creek Canyon, our tranquil inn has charming cabins ranging from one to three bedrooms with full kitchens. Our property is listed for sale, however that has no impact on the way I or any of my staff run this property. We have a manicured patio and lawn area, where all guests are welcomed to enjoy the great outdoors. ** Please note that as of January 1st 2018 we no longer include breakfast. Well, ok we didn’t get Trump towers either, but what we did get was a very nice and CLEAN cabin. I asked Frank for a partial refund for the night as we decided to pack up and leave since we didn't feel safe (about 11 pm). Truly we only left one time in our 3 day stay for a meal. We were told by the police who also told Frank it was likely deer as the police saw deer tracks.

In the meantime I called the after hours cabin # and spoke to Frank. 2.

Lodge Hours The Lodge is open 7:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sunday through Thursday and 7:00 am to 6:00 pm on Friday and Saturday. Bathrooms are on the small side. As the policeman checked out the back of cabin, I could hear his footsteps from inside which sounded like the same noise we heard earlier. We had never stayed here before and found it using online search tools. The bedroom window lock was broken next to my bed where we heard footsteps. Thanks so much! No observed onsite grounds maintenance during entire stay. The bedroom window lock was broken next to my bed where we heard footsteps. As you can imagine staying in a cabin that was built many years ago, we were not expecting Trump Towers. I called 911 and was told the closest police was in Flagstaff and it would take a while (actually 40-45 minutes). No a/c in the cabins, but a lovely common area to do puzzles, watch tv or cool off. The sound of rain putting you to sleep.

We left in disbelief at how this was handled. The smell of trees. Then back to soak it in. Chairs to read a book in. We are local to Arizona and love to go up to Sedona, so I would think we would surely stay here again! My daughter and I stayed in Cabin 14, situated furthest back along the woods for a peaceful stay. In order to preserve natural resources, we will only change linens ever 3 days, unless it is requested sooner. Butterfly Garden is a quaint, cozy bunch of cabins that we loved. Issues of concern: 1. Understand that this is a property that was first opened in the 1950’s so some items are vintage. I cannot convince you that what you heard was deer, but all the parties involved including the police confirmed that there were no human tracks on the ground, only animal. There was plenty of room for the family of 4. The Butterfly Garden Inn, formerly Don Hoel’s cabins, is the perfect destination for individuals, families, and retreat groups who want to relax, unwind, and find refuge from the stress of everyday life.
